Welcome to CampusPool (accessible via pooldrives.com). We are committed to respecting and protecting the personal and institutional data of our users, including students, job applicants, colleges, and Training & Placement Officers (TPOs).

This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, store, process, and protect your information in compliance with applicable data protection laws, including the Indian Digital Personal Data Protection Act (DPDPA).

2. Information We Collect

We collect only the essential information needed to facilitate recruitment drives and authentication:

• Account Credentials: Full Name, Email Address, and securely hashed passwords.
• Student Placement Data: College name, academic degree, engineering branch, graduation year, CGPA, and contact phone number.
• Resume & Profiles: PDF resumes uploaded to our secure storage vault, LinkedIn links, and portfolio/GitHub profiles.
• Institutional Details: Official college email, AICTE/institution code, placement coordinator contact, and drive venue details.

3. How We Use Your Information

Your data is strictly utilized for core platform operations:

• Verifying student and institutional accounts using email One-Time Passwords (OTPs).
• Enabling students to apply directly for open pool drives via our 1-Click Application mechanism.
• Allowing verified host colleges and recruiters to review eligible candidate profiles and resumes.
• Sending critical account notifications, application confirmations, and password recovery emails via our verified domain.

4. Data Sharing & Third Parties

We treat your information with utmost confidentiality. We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal data to any marketing agencies or data brokers.

Data is shared solely with:

• Participating Colleges/TPOs: When you actively apply to a pool recruitment drive.
• Infrastructure Providers: Secure database and email delivery providers (e.g., Supabase, Resend) operating under strict data processing agreements.

5. Public Job Aggregation & External Links

CampusPool aggregates publicly available campus and off-campus recruitment notices to assist students in discovering career opportunities:

• Official Portal Redirection: For indexed external drives, CampusPool redirects candidates directly to the official employer career portal. We never charge application fees from students.
• Trademarks & Ownership: All company names, logos, and trademarks belong strictly to their respective corporate owners. Their display does not imply formal endorsement by or affiliation with CampusPool.
• Takedown Requests: If an employer or institution wishes to update or remove any aggregated job listing, they can email us at support@pooldrives.com. Listings are promptly reviewed and taken down within 24 to 48 hours.

6. Data Security & Storage

We employ industry-standard security safeguards including encrypted connections (HTTPS/TLS), Bcrypt cryptographic password hashing, role-based access tokens (JWT), and secure cloud object storage.

7. Your Rights & Data Deletion

Users have the right to review, update, or request the deletion of their personal profile and resume at any time. To request complete deletion of your account or data, please write to our support desk.
